Voicemail is a recording.
A text back is one message.
These are the two things almost every clinic already has, and people describe both of them as cover. Neither is cover. One stores the enquiry until somebody has time, the other acknowledges it and then waits for the same person to have the same time.
The eight jobs a front desk
actually has to do.
The same table the homepage carries, with the column that matters to you next to ours. There is no row here where it does the job and we do not.
| Voicemail | A text back | Soltrack | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Answers after hours and at weekends | Records | Sends one message | Yes |
| Books into your real calendar | No | No | Yes |
| Holds a conversation with the patient | No | No | Yes |
| Calls a patient who ignores messages | No | No | Yes |
| Reschedules instead of losing the slot | No | No | Yes |
| Asks for the review, and gates it | No | No | Yes |
| Works your lapsed patient list | No | No | Yes |
| Knows your treatments, providers and prices | No | No | Yes |
Every row is a job, not a feature. A clinic does not lose money because a tool lacks a checkbox, it loses money because one of these eight did not happen on a Tuesday night.
When voicemail and a text back is
the right answer.
Neither is a bad thing to have. Both beat a phone that rings out. They also both stop in the same place, and what comes after that place is somebody at your clinic picking it up later, which is the part that keeps not happening.
